Here's my first attempt, which made my tastebuds very happy.
Not to mention, they're easy to find in the farmer's markets here,
fresh and cheap. Who could ask for more!!
2) The Thumbprint cookie challenge:
Finely Ground Pecans (left) vs. Pecan Chunks (right).
The Verdict: Finely ground Pecans seems to be the favorite, the chunks are just too nutty and intense. Plus you have to use more nuts to cover the cookie per square inch with the chunks. So.....ground Pecans it is!
